Booking an Appointment

Appointments can be made either in person at the Reception Desk or by telephoning 01292 886622 between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.

The Practice adheres  to "Advanced Access" where we guarantee that a patient can have contact with any health professional within 48 hours for any acute medical problems. Appointments can also be made normally 4 weeks in advance to see a specific GP.

If you need to see a doctor urgently, make this clear to reception and you will be triaged by our Advanced Nurse Practitioners.   We do not guarantee an emergency appointment with a specific doctor.

If you cannot keep an appointment, please phone to cancel as soon as possible, so that the time can be offered to someone else. You can also cancel your appointment online here.

Standard appointments are normally for a maximum of 10 minutes. If you feel that you will need more time than this, please ask the receptionist for a longer appointment when you are making the appointment.

If you have more than one problem to discuss, please tell the doctor this at the start of your appointment so that the most important problem can be dealt with first. If it is not possible to deal with several complex problems during a single consultation you may be asked to make a further appointment(s) to deal with less pressing issues.

The Practice offers extended hours from 7.30 am - 8.30 am with our Practice Nurse for those patients who are unavailable to attend the surgery during our core hours, i.e. work commitments.

We do try and run appointments to time but you will appreciate that we have no way of knowing in advance what problems will be presented during a surgery. Some problems do require immediate attention and may result in subsequent appointments running late. Please let the receptionist know if you have been waiting more than 20 minutes to see a clinician. Your understanding when this happens is appreciated.
