Clinics are set up to provide you with specialised care for specific problems.
Cervical Smear Clinics : By appointment
A cervical smear test that detects cancer of the neck of the womb that can help save your life. Woman aged 20-65 are encouraged to have a cervical smear test at least every 3 years. You may choose to see either the practice nurse at any routine surgery - by appointment.
Family Planning: By appointment
All the doctors and the practice nurse provide contraceptive advice. Oral contraceptives are prescribed by the doctor or the practice nurse at a normal appointment. Special appointments are required for coil fittings or changes. Emergency contraception is always readily available.
Ante-natal Clinic : Wed and Thurs 2pm - 4pm
This midwife helps with the care of expectant mothers and attends the mother and baby at home for the first few days. Appointments for the midwife can be made for her surgery clinic through the receptionists.
Immunisation Clinic : Mon 2pm - 4pm
The Practice offers a full information and immunisation service to parents of children registered with the practice.
Treatment Room Clinic : By appointment
For dressings, stitch removal, ECGs, blood pressure etc
Minor Surgery : By appointment
The doctors can perform minor surgery from the fully equipped treatment room. Examples include removal of cysts, moles, skin lumps, toenail removal and cryo-surgery.
Phlebotomy Clinic : By appointment
Our Phlebotomist is available to take blood tests every morning from Monday to Friday
Respiratory Clinic : By appointment
Check-ups and advice on Asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases with the Practice Nurses.
Diabetic Clinic : By appointment
Sister Fiona Chape can offer support , advice and check-ups for those suffering from diabetes.
Liquid Nitrogen Clinic : Tuesdays by appointment depending on the number of doctors available.
For the treatment and removal of warts.
Smoking Cessation : By appointment
Smoking is now accepted as being one of the major causes of a number of life threatening illnesses. All patients who smoke are urged to stop. The appointment provides advice, assistance and support to those committed to giving up the habit.
Ischaemic Heart Disease Clinic : By appointment
Our Practice Nurses are available to offer check ups and advice on Ischaemic Heart Disease.
Continence Clinic : Every alternate Tuesday afternoon
Our Treatment Room Nurse is available to offer advice and support on continence issues.
Influenza Clinic : From October to February by appointment
Vaccinations are carried out by the Practice Nurses and District Nurses.
Travel Advice : Please speak to a Receptionist who will advise you of our Holiday Vaccine procedure.
Where appointments are not required to attend clinics it is helpful if you can advise Reception that you are coming so that your Medical Records are available for the Doctor/Nurse, if required.
